Good Evening. Its the weekend and therefore not much news with the candidates for President, but that doesn't mean there is no news. Mainly, Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich of Georgia confessed on Friday that he had an affair while impeaching President Clinton for his lying to the grand jury on his affair while in office. He's trying to clear the air in case he decides to run for President himself. He has promised he will make his decision in September.
This Monday morning, March 12, 2007, Republican Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska will be making his announcement on his decision on whether to run for President or not. EDITORS NOTE: He probably won't have much of an impact in the race, but he may force Former New York City Republican Mayor Rudolph Guiliani and Former Republican Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney to further declare their intentions on Iraq.
The first back-to-back Republican and Democratic Presidential Debate that was to be held the first week of April in New Hampshire has been postponed to the first week of June. This is to allow the candidates more opportunity to campaign there and make preparations for the first real debate of the primary season as well as to provide the best debate to the public. True, there was a forum in Nevada in February, but it wasn't a true debate. The New Hampshire debate will be co-hosted by CNN, WMUR-TV, and the New Hampshire Union Leader and moderated by CNN's Wolf Blitzer.
On Sunday, March 11, 2007 instead of doing a regular post for news, I will provide a current and updated list of the Presidential Candidates that have formed an exploratory committee or are officially running as well as the dropouts and those not running in the first place.
Remember to set your clocks forward one hour tonight before you go to bed or you'll be late to whatever you have planned for Sunday.
