Hey, folks, sorry, I haven't blogged in two months, but here I am, I'm back and will try to post on a more regular basis.

What's new in politics today?

Presidential Race --

We are about halfway through the year before the elections. The latest candidate to jump in, is Former Republican Senator and Actor Fred Thompson of Tennessee. He is expected form an exploratory committee on Monday, June 4, 2007 and possibly formally jump in around the Fourth of July holiday!!

Florida has moved their primaries for both parties to Tuesday, January 29, the week between New Hampshire and SuperDuperMega Tuesday. However, that may cause New Hampshire to move their primary up from Tuesday, January 22, to possibly Tuesday, January 15, 2008 which would move Iowa, currently scheduled for Monday, January 14 to possibly Monday, January 7, 2008.

Currently, here is the projected primary calendar for 2008:

Monday, January 14 -- Iowa Caucuses
Saturday, January 19 -- Nevada Democrat Caucuses
Tuesday, January 22 -- New Hampshire Primary and Wyoming GOP Caucus
Tuesday, January 29 -- South Carolina Democrat Primary and Florida Bi-Party Primary
